Trump to Head to Texas, But Does it Help or Hurt Cruz?

The race between Sen. Ted Cruz and Rep. Beto O'Rourke is heating up this week as President Trump promised to campaign for Cruz in October. The venue? "The biggest stadium in Texas we can find," Trump tweeted. But given all the controversy surround President Trump and the past bad blood between him and the senator, is this good news for Cruz?

Meantime the Texas GOP is hitting O'Rourke for being arrested on DUI charges years ago. But that attack seems to have backfired on social media. O'Rourke is also finally starting to hit back at Cruz for a variety of attacks on his record, including the way he voted on relief for victims of Hurricane Harvey.

if you think it's rough now, this race will only get nastier following Labor Day weekend as we head for the November election.
Texas business leaders are cautiously optimistic about President Trump's announcement of a trade deal with Mexico. And the Texas GOP is asking the FBI to look into whether a Democratic State Senate candidate really lives where he claims to reside.
